Us in a Nutshell:

- Singing karaoke terribly is fun to us (slick Robot dance moves included)
- We are obsessed with weddings
- We are obsessed with photographing weddings
- Tess is obsessed with your wedding cake & doing the Cupid Shuffle
- After weddings, our faces hurt from smiling too much behind our cameras
Why Love•n•Joy?
When contemplating the perfect company name that would encapsulate everything we represented as photographers, we were initially baffled. What name could possibly tell you what we’re all about in one short phrase? We knew we wanted to incorporate JOY. We thought about why we wanted to start a photography studio in the first place and it seemed to all revolve around capturing the joy in people’s lives. The joy on the wedding day, the joy in celebrating an engagement, the pure joy derived from celebrating a new little life. There is so much joy to be found in life and we truly love honoring that. How incredible of a job is that? I, Kimothy, reconsidered the direction of my life, career, everything, after losing my mom to breast cancer in 2009. I remember her posting a phrase throughout her house while she battled this disease. It read ” Find Joy in Life. Share Joy with Others.” I don’t mean to be a sap, but I remember staring at that bold, empowering statement and thinking I wanted to implement that into my life. That would be my life motto above all else. I tattooed the word “joy” in my mom’s handwriting onto my left wrist. Yes, I was that serious about it. How could I implement that into my career? I’m so blessed to say I have found a serious way to do just that. Love•n•Joy continually allows us to identify the most memorable occasions in people’s lives and to use our creative finesse to celebrate these events. And, of course, LOVE coincides so nicely with JOY. All you need is LOVE. Alas, Love•n•Joy was born!
